The Chevy Silverado ZR2 is the peak of General Motors' half-ton off-road truck hierarchy, but it's been facing a significant horsepower deficit against two key rivals. While the ZR2's 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 is a fine engine, the Ford F-150 Raptor R makes 720 horsepower and the Ram 1500 SRT TRX puts out 777. Hennessey Performance has a fix: the Silverado 1500 ZR2 "Goliath 700."
The name is straightforward. By grafting a supercharger onto the ZR2's V-8 and adding an intercooler system, a custom ECM calibration, and a cat-back exhaust, Hennessey extracts a claimed 700 horsepower and 611 pound-feet of torque — gains of 280 hp and 151 lb-ft over stock. Hennessey says the lifted ZR2, riding on 35-inch tires, reaches 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. The factory Multimatic spool-valve dampers are retained, but a BDS suspension package adds new upper control arms.
The Goliath looks significantly more aggressive than the stock Silverado ZR2. Hennessey fits carbon-fiber hood vents and a tailgate applique, while new steel bumpers improve approach clearance and darken the truck's personality. The front bumper incorporates integrated LED lights, a bull bar, and Hennessey's "H" logo. Twenty-inch wheels carry the chunky rubber.
Inside, Hennessey adds all-weather floor mats and embroidered headrests bearing the tuner's name. A numbered console plaque confirms each truck's production sequence within the 100-unit run, which will be sold through authorized Chevrolet dealers. Each Goliath 700 also comes with a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty.
The price for 700 supercharged horsepower in a Silverado body is $139,950. For perspective: the stock 2026 Silverado 1500 ZR2 with the V-8 starts at $76,290, the 2026 Ford F-150 Raptor R opens at $113,525, and the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX starts at $102,590.
